Princess Irina zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg

For now over 25 years, Irina zu Sayn-Wittgenstein has been involved in economic, social and cultural projects that focus on the changing dynamics of a continuously unifying Europe, and, in particular, on bridge-building to Central Europe.

This longstanding engagement has honed her capacity for intercultural dialogue as well as managing the organisation of international and cross-boarder projects.

During the period of political upheavals in Poland, she was one of the driving forces behind the foundation of the Lublin Business School and has actively advanced training programmes and seminars that cater to the education and training of Polish managers and students.

Today, she is an honorary member of the Warsaw Beethoven Festival and, since 2006, advisor to the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Festival. Since 2009, she is also the acting co-founder of the association »Fundacja Beit Warszawa« which dedicates itself to the rehabilitation of liberal Judaism in Poland.

For her remarkable social commitment she was honoured with different international decorations and awards.
